God's Creation
Chapter Five
The strings laid from the cosmic streams carried on in their blind way producing DNA structures, and from these many strange forms evolved. One was a human deviant, that grew huge and had great power. It had human desires and so roamed the earth searching out the human female species and coupled with them, so producing another offspring of giants. With no demise of the species it was multiplying without check and was now seen by the Time Lords as a great threat to the Universe.
They saw them as equivalent to a virus that could not be checked and would contaminate the whole of space, so they set in motion a cataclysmic event.
Without referring to the local Cosmic Force they dispatched a mighty meteor in the direction of that galaxy, targeted to destroy the planet in one huge explosion.
Now we here must touch on the power of the Time Lords, it was absolute as far as it went, but it was more to do with the ordering of space than the directing of projectiles. So in effect the meteor missed. More correctly it was diverted.
The Time Lords could not know that in Bright Stars planetary system there were huge outer planets that could not be detected without some very precise space feelers, and so the outer one pulled the meteor off course, and it missed the earth by a huge distance but its power was sufficient to cause the waters to rise up and kill all forms of life, except for a small band on a high mountain top.
This created an odd situation in that there were survivors from the previous generation but the strings, in a way, started again bringing forth new type of life never seen before. These events might seemed ordained or just chance, but the Universe knew nothing of these concepts and just went on being the Universe.
The Cosmic force went back to it’s reverie, it had done as requested, and indeed was getting tired of these games, it was a distracting nuisance, didn’t the time lord know it had a whole whirling star system to control?
Thoughts for the reader:
What is life?
You could study this question for ever but in simple terms its anything that can reproduce itself ands has the potential for change. But what drives that change? It's sex! But what is strange about nature is that it seems that only this powerful drive matters, after thousands of seed have been spread and creation occurs nature loses interest and is not concerned about the outcome. Then there is diversity - how come there are millions of different things and yet all made from the same building blocks? Conclusion; nature is searching for some form, purpose unknown! Ah, but where did the sex emotion come from?
The planet on which life had formed settled down into a routine movement. By chance the meteor had aided life by tipping it sideways, and as it circled the bright star it created the opportunity for seasonal change. And so life proliferated again.
From small beginnings humans grew to occupy the planet. All mankind came together and spoke a single language. In the land of Babylon they decided to build a city.
When God came down to see this city he said,
‘Look! If they have been able to accomplish this and they have only just begun to exploit their linguistic and political unity just think what they will do later. Nothing will be unattainable for them!' (God running scared?)
'Come let us give them different languages so they will not be able to understand one another, and scatter them all over the earth.'
That is why the city is called Babel (meaning confusion), because Jehovah confused them by giving them different languages!
The cosmic force closed down but with one eye open as you might say. The beings were multiplying far too fast, and they were warlike. The cosmic force was uneasy about this but not sure why. The single mysterious probe knew and sent down a message to stimulate weapon development. And so these humans set about destroying one another even more vigorously than ever.
And yet they multiplied, and became more adventurous. Strange things happened that they could not explain. They suddenly became diseased and fell ill and returned to the dust that God had promised. And yet they multiplied. And yet strangely there were other people not mentioned by God.
They enslaved those created by God because they feared them.
Exodus!
And the Lord said,
‘Let my people go.’
And Pharaoh said,
'Who is the Lord, I do not know the Lord, and I will not let the people go.’
The Lord visited him with plagues of frogs , and repeated,
’Let my people go.’
Pharaoh refused again and the Lord visited boils and sores on the Pharaohs people.
Again he refused and God sent locusts to cover the land and eat all the crops, and still he refused.
God then commanded that all the first born sons of the Pharaoh and his people should die!
God commanded ‘I am the Lord!’
The strange thing was that it was the Lord who hardened the Pharaoh’s heart.
The strange force of nature was at work. The first warnings were coming that these humans would wreak vengeance on one another even in the most evil way, and that nature visit great plagues upon them, and yet they continued in deceit and wilfulness towards their end.
A forecast. (Joel)
'Blow the trumpets and sound the alarm and tremble for the day of the Lord is at hand. There will be darkness and gloominess. The day of the Lord is very terrible, who can endure it. Unless you are good with me, but watch out if you are not of Zion.
Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi: the warnings flowed thick and fast.
And yet men continued in their self-indulgent ways.
